As I am far from blaming Gentlemen unacquainted with our Constitution, and therefore, it may be, prejudic'd in favour of the Heads of Houses; so, I hope, that no one mil condemn us (the Masters) unheard for asserting the Powers which the Laws of the Land, Our University Statutes and Charter have handed down to us as a sacred Depositum.
