Book review

Nine-year-old Abigail Corduroy had to leave behind the life she had known when her family made the dramatic move from Upstate New York to Long Island. Her parents' marriage is in turmoil and her father is rarely at home. Loneliness, the disorientation of moving, and the stress she inhales like black smoke as a result of the way her parents are behaving, lead to Abigail experiencing horrible night terrors. With darkness and fear threatening to overwhelm her, a translucent blue boy, who only she can see, appears. He offers her friendship and guidance, but Abigail has to decide if she should trust this strange boy when she doesn't even know who, or what, he is. And as the mysterious adventure of Abigail and Blueboy unfolds, she discovers that there is more at stake than she ever imagined possible. Author Paul G. Mueller is an elementary school teacher who lives in Rocky Point, New York. Abigail and Blueboy is his first book.
