What begins as a traveller's guide goes on to explore a spiritual journey through a mix of narrative and story. The author - a New Zealand minister and veteran traveller - paid his way around the world by working at a variety of jobs, including: a retreader, factory-hand, builder's labourer, welder, bank clerk, truck driver, gardener, potato sorter, painter, roofer, steel-tier, minister, father, freelance journalist and lecturer. Twenty years of his life were spent on the road, 15 of them exploring Godzone.
